About Us

Living Healthy North East is coordinated through Health Sciences North and is funded by the Northeast LHIN (Local Health Integration Network-13). Our program is one of 14 Self-Management Programs across the Province of Ontario.

The goal of the program is to have a coordinated approach to support people living with chronic conditions, caregivers and health care providers with self-management education. We offer Self-Management training and workshops to participants, caregivers and health care professionals across the North East Ontario Region. Learn more about the regions of the LHIN on the LHIN Website.

Here in North East, our program staff include: one Program Coordinator, one Administrative Assistant and several Program Educators. We have approximately 100 volunteers on an ongoing basis that lead workshops and training sessions, all of who have taken and successfully completed all appropriate training and application processes.

Our Vision

People living with chronic conditions in North East Ontario will manage their health with greater confidence.
