BAP is an algorithm-based process for interacting with individuals interested in making concrete action plans for some aspect of their health. Health care professionals and peer supporters worker can use BAP in a variety of settings to support healthy changes. Give No Advice – A tool that can be used to develop engagement, to practice listening and allow our clients to reflect on their own motivations to change. Ask-Tell-Ask – A client-centered approach to sharing information that ensures relevance and specificity of the content. Brief Action Planning – A structured way of having a conversation with someone who is interested in turning their hopes for healthy behaviors into concrete plans.
